Week twenty-five

I finished the first draft of my Call of Cthulhu oneshot this week. It's way too long and very unwieldy, so it will definitely need a LOT of editing and polishing up, plus I at least need to make a couple simple maps for my players, but it's nice to have the whole investigation plotted out. Hopefully I'll be able to run it with my players soon enough.
Also, I started a new simple, mostly plotless fic to basically try and soothe my own disappointments at not being able to take a vacation that I wanted, thanks to the federal loan repayments starting back up and other financial things. I know that sounds a little self-indulgent, but I never take vacations away, and I was really hoping to take this one, so... Maybe writing everything out will help. Maybe.
Work this week was pretty normal. I spent a bunch of time in the lab and did a little work on the side project I was assigned. Nothing major.
For personal stuff, I finally went and saw the new Spiderverse movie today, since there were so many technical difficulties in trying to get tickets last weekend that I just gave up on it. It was so good! The guy at the concessions stand/ticket booth told me beforehand that it took the ideas from the first movie and turned them up to eleven, which is absolutely correct in my opinion. I don't know if I'd say it's better than the first movie though, but damn, it is really, really good.
